Product Introduction

        China's electrical regulations stipulate that when the capacitive current of 10kV and 35kV systems exceeds 30A and 10A respectively, an arc suppression coil should be installed to compensate for the capacitive current. This requires measuring the capacitive current of the distribution network to make a decision.

        Additionally, the combination of the distribution network's ground capacitance and PT parameters can cause PT ferromagnetic resonance overvoltage. To verify whether PT resonance will occur in the distribution system and what type of resonance it will be, it is essential to accurately measure the ground capacitance value of the distribution network.
        Methods for measuring distribution network capacitive current include the direct method of single-phase metal grounding, the indirect measurement method using external capacitance, and adding signals to the PT open delta. However, the neutral point capacitance method is more widely and frequently used in the field.
        The fully automatic capacitive current tester uses the neutral point capacitance method to measure the distribution network capacitive current. This tester features a large LCD screen with a Chinese menu. After taking safety measures and setting the instrument parameters in advance, there is no need to touch the instrument during operation, making this task safe, simple, and fast.
